Apex Welding & Steel Fabrication manufactured and installed the structural steel and façade for the new Docklands Primary School.

Our scope comprised of a multi level steel/bondek structure to service new Gymnasium and classrooms. The Gym Roof includes a 25 metre clear span, 11 tonne steel truss; the Upper roof included steel to service classrooms and administration, all while concealing 3 no. mechanical plant platforms through the school.

We liaised with the client on the construction program to ensure the installation would be completed in a safe and timely manner and the design required special coordination with structure & service trades.

The CBD location and tight building envelope meant our project team worked closely with Monaco Hickey and the consultants to ensure each phase of the project could be delivered safely and efficiently with the right mobile cranes.
